Arizona volleyball tops Colorado
The Arizona volleyball team won against the visiting Colorado Buffaloes on Friday night, 4-1. The Wildcats are now 15-13 overall and 7-10 in the Pac-12.
Each set was very much alike in that the play was close and the Wildcats maintained a consistent but not so comfortable lead. That is until the third set when the score read 25 all and the Wildcats gave up their first lead in the game to give up the match.
Arizona came back strong in the fourth set winning by its biggest spread of the night. Freshman middle blocker Olivia Magill had a season high performance against Colorado hitting 14-for-21 with 14 kills. Sophomore libero Ronni Lewis tied her season high of 21 kills tonight.
Arizona had a combined 64 kills and nine blocks.
Tomorrow the Wildcats take on the Utah Utes in McKale Center at 6p.m.
