Arizona women's tennis match against SDSU cancelled

Arizona women’s tennis match against San Diego State on Saturday was cancelled due to rain causing unsafe court conditions.

The match was called at 1 p.m. It had originally been scheduled to start at 11 a.m. but had been moved to an earlier 9:30 a.m. start time because of the perceived forecast.

Both schools came on the court multiple times to practice and warm-up, but the constant rain made it difficult to play on the outdoor courts at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

Eventually, both head coaches agreed that the match would be cancelled. Last year, San Diego State’s match against Arizona was also cancelled due to rain.

This weekend, the Wildcats travel to Seattle to face Seattle and No. 24 Washington.
