Laxcats extend winning streak, men's rugby routed
Arizona men’s lacrosse continued its winning streak in Southern California this past weekend. The Laxcats (4-1) defeated USC on Saturday and Concordia University Irvine on Sunday.
This was the first live broadcast of the Arizona Laxcats. The 13-5 win was televised on The Lacrosse Network. Despite a few delays due to rain, the Wildcats were able to take the win from the Trojans.
On Sunday, the Wildcats played Concordia. Unlike the first game, there were few interruptions due to weather. The Laxcats were able to keep up the momentum from the day before and beat Concordia 17-10.
The first home game of the season for the Laxcats will be Sunday against the University of New Hampshire at Cherry Field.
Sophomore Chris Chiappe practices at Cherry Field on Feb. 19. The Laxcats won its two games in Southern California this past week.
