Spring break playlist that mixes old, new

_Whether you’re road-tripping to California or flying to Mexico, here are some tunes to get you ready for your week off. If you don’t have a wicked playlist, are you really even on spring break?
    _

    1.‘Bye Bye Bye’ – ’N Sync
Wave bye bye bye to Tucson with Justin Timberlake’s ’90s boy band.

2.‘Come On Eileen’ – Dexys Midnight Runners
“Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means, at this moment you [spring break] mean everything.”

    3.‘Two Fingers’ – Jake Bugg
With midterms coming to a close, taking Jake Bugg’s advice to “wish the world away” is almost unnecessary.

4.‘The Real Slim Shady’ – Eminem
Everyone has a little Slim Shady in them. This is your chance to let yours out.

5.‘Don’t You Want Me’ – The Human League
All you want is spring break.

6.‘Nu Nu (Yeah Yeah) Double J & Haze Remix’ – Fannypack
You don’t have to be a cheerleader from “Fired Up!” to get pumped from this song.

7.‘Benny and the Jets’ – Elton John
Buh-buh-buh-benny and the airplane jets on the way to Cabo San Lucas.

    8.‘Wrecking Ball’ – Miley Cyrus
You’ll be spending a lot of time on the beach this break, and you aren’t going to need much more than a white tank top anyway, so you better have the anthem to match.

    9.‘We Got the Beat’ – The Go-Go’s
Because “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.”

10.‘The Car Song’ – The Cat Empire
“Sooooomeday” you’ll get to your destination. “Imagine all the things [you] could do.”

    11.‘(I Can’t Get No)
    Satisfaction’ – The Rolling Stones
Mick Jagger can’t get no satisfaction, but on this spring break, you definitely can.

12.‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ – Nirvana
The exact scent of your car by the time you reach your destination.

13.‘Everyday Normal Guy’ – Jon Lajoie
Hopefully, you have more luck than Lajoie, but according to this song, he has considerably more money in his bank account than you do.

    14. ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ – Guns N’ Roses
“If you got the money, honey, we got your disease.” Poor college kids rejoice, because it appears we don’t have the same disease as Guns N’ Roses.

    15. ‘Good Vibrations’ – The Beach Boys
You’re already picking up good vibrations about this trip, and you might need to set the mood. It looks like you’re almost there.

    16. ‘Baby Got Back’ – Sir Mix-A-Lot
Just in case you’re nervous about your bikini bod, keep in mind that Sir Mix-A-Lot LOVES big butts, so tons of other people will too.

    17. ‘Bear Down Arizona’ – Jack Lee
While you’re miles away, don’t forget where your heart truly is.
Don’t let your kickin’ attitude stunt your common sense. Be safe, have fun and bear down.
