What to do instead of studying according to KAMP Radio

Good Universal / KAMP Radio is hosting a meet and greet with the cast of “The Neighbors” on the UA Mall on April 24 before a premiere screening of the film.

This is it. The final stretch. We have a month left, and you know what that means: It’s time to study, study, study. But what if you don’t want to do that? What if you would rather have a life? If you just can’t force yourself to read one more word of your Spanish novel or balance another equation, KAMP Radio has you covered. Here are some things to do in April that have absolutely nothing to do with school.

    Concerts:
OFF! — Monday at Club Congress
We’ve got our indie, rock ‘n’ roll and ’90s folk fix, so now it’s time for some punk. OFF! includes Keith Morris, one of the members of the one and only, punkest of punk bands, Black Flag. Yes, he’s older, but let’s all go celebrate punk dads. This will rule.

Bombay Bicycle Club — April 24 at Club Congress
Coming off its fourth studio album, this is sure to be a solid show. I’m honestly surprised it’s at Club Congress, because this band will definitely fill the venue up. Be sure to grab a ticket ASAP. This is for fans of Foals and other indie dance tunes.

Beck — April 23 at Rialto Theatre
BECK. B-E-C-K. This is a big one for Tucson. From Odelay to Guero to his latest album, Morning Phase, Beck’s been killing it for years. I wouldn’t miss the chance to see such an influential, consistent and creative artist live in the flesh. I’m just praying to the music gods that the sound guys will be able to hold their own.

    *Movie Screenings: *
Meet and Greet with Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse (AKA McLovin), Jerrod Carmichael — April 24 on UA Mall
KAMP is hosting cast members of “Neighbors” before the exclusive advanced screening of the film, and those cast members are going to be on the UA Mall, in real life. Yes, you can go see a Franco in real life. And McLovin. No further explanation needed.

Advanced screening of “Neighbors” — April 24 at Gallagher Theater
After you’ve met Franco, you can go see his new movie starring one of my all-time favorite people, Seth Rogen. This movie is going to be absolutely hilarious, and there’s a Q&A afterward, so here’s your chance to ask for Franco’s hand in marriage.

    More suggestions:
Didn’t make it to a show? Putting off that assignment? Relax, my suggestions are endless. Don’t even think about starting your homework.
-Marathon “Sex and the City” (no, this is not just for women)
-90 cent drinks at Congress Monday nights
    -Download the 2048 app
-Head over to Zia or Toxic Ranch and buy a few vinyls. They’re constantly getting in new stock.
-Listen to those new records or some other ones. Summer music is coming into play, and there is nothing more pro-procrastination than sitting outside enjoying our wonderful weather and jamming to some surf rock. My best bets are Playlounge, Warm Soda, Mac DeMarco, Tweens, Black Lips, Pavement, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Dry Heeves and Porno Mags.
