The Arizona men’s basketball program in association with Nike introduced five new uniform options for the Wildcats’ upcoming 2014-15 season.

Arizona’s new uniform lineup will comprise five concepts – white trimmed with navy, white trimmed with red, navy trimmed with red, red trimmed with navy and gray trimmed with both navy and red.

Each of the new looks pays homage to the uniforms the UA wore for around a decade beginning in the mid-1990s when the Wildcats won their sole NCAA Championship and firmly established themselves among the country’s top tier college basketball programs.

“Our entire team is excited about receiving these new uniforms,” senior point guard T.J. McConnell said in a press release. “Not only are they going to look great, but the technology that went into making them will benefit us on the court. So many great players in Arizona history wore similar uniforms, and it’s nice to be able to honor them while we try to do some of the same great things on the court.”

The new jerseys will feature the team’s existing cactus-based aerographic expanded over the entire back and will be durable and breathable while still allowing the maximum range of motion for the players. According to Nike, the use of innovative technology has led to a 66 percent reduction in the weight of the shorts. The shorts additionally have the ability to dry 30 percent faster.
