Arizona football head coach Rich Rodriguez improved his record against non-Pac-12 Conference teams while at the UA to 10-0 with the 26-23 win at UTSA. As Arizona’s skipper, Rodriguez is 2-0 against the Roadrunners and 1-0 against Nevada, this week’s foe.

Arizona women’s cross country senior Kristina Aubert won her first race as a Wildcat at the George Kyte Classic in Flagstaff, Ariz. The transfer from Arkansas State finished about 30 seconds faster than the runner-up.

The Pac-12 fined USC athletic director Pat Haden $25,000 for running out of the press box and confronting officials during the Trojans’ win over Stanford. Haden is a member of the playoff selection committee, and it’s the third embarrassing incident at USC this season.
Last Saturday, Big Ten football endured an embarrassing day as Michigan State, Ohio State and Michigan all lost on the same day for the first time since Sept. 17, 1988. Meanwhile, Nebraska almost lost at home to McNeese State of the FCS.
