Arizona Coyotes defenseman Michael Stone falls over St. Louis Blues left wing Jaden Schwartz during first period action on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The city of Tucson will reportedly be landing the Arizona Coyotes American Hockey League team, according to Arizona Sports.

Sources close to the matter told reporter Craig Morgan the Coyotes have been discussing that their AHL team play at the Tucson Convention Center Arenastarting next season.

At the moment, the Arizona club hockey team plays its games at the arena.

“What I can tell you is we have looked at what it would take to renovate the facility,” Tucson city manager Michael Ortega said in the article. “There were some discussions on what it would take to potentially recruit or respond to a request from a potential pro sports team.”

While nothing has been confirmed at the moment, Tucson has the potential to land a professional sports franchise and bring revenue and heart back into TCC.

Only time will tell if all the deals will be able to be worked out.
