TIMELINE: President Hart’s involvement with DeVry in news stories

Almost two months ago, President Ann Weaver Hart accepted a $70,000 position on the DeVry University board. DeVry, a for-profit college, is currently being sued by the Federal Trade Commission for fraud.

Hart’s current UA Salary is $665,500 a year. Since she accepted the position, she has received public backlash from students, faculty and the Tucson community.

The acceptance sparked student protests, multiple petitions and various groups — including a number of state legislators — calling for her resignation.
