Arizona head coach Sean Miller throws his arms up during the Wildcats victory over California in McKale Center on March 3, 2016. Miller and his team are currently 18-2 on the season.

Five-star recruit Shareef O’Neal committed to the University of Arizona early Wednesday morning. His AAU team, California Supreme, tweeted out the news in the early hours of the morning.

O’Neal is the son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and a member of the 2018 recruiting class, joining fellow five-star recruit Emmanuel Akot as a future Wildcat.

The 6-foot-9 forward was talking to multiple schools, including his father’s alma mater LSU, but chose Arizona after taking an unofficial visit on November 18 when the Wildcats defeated Sacred Heart 95-65.
