Former Arizona basketball head coach Lute Olson and most of the Wildcats from the 1997 National Championship team will attend a 16th anniversary reunion for charity in downtown Tucson, Friday at 7 p.m.
The event will be co-hosted by the Primavera Foundation and the Blair Charity Group to raise money toward improving poverty in Tucson.
Fans can also watch a replay of Arizona’s 84-79 overtime victory over Kentucky in the 1997 NCAA Championship game.
Olson, among 12 of his former players, like NBA star Jason Terry and Miles Simon, who won the game’s Most Outstanding Player award, will discuss their thoughts on that night during halftime. Admittance to an after-party at Hotel Congress, for ticketholders age 21 and older, along with competitions and raffles will be included as well.
VIP tickets are sold out, but regular admission is still available for $25 each.
