On Tuesday the UA announced that sophomore forward Brandon Ashley underwent “successful” foot surgery.
Ashley went under the knife to repair a ligament in his right foot, which he injured Feb. 1 at California.
He will miss the rest of the season but told ESPN that there is a “very, very, very strong chance” that he will return for his junior year rather than entering the NBA Draft.
The Wildcats are 2-0 without Ashley in the lineup, but lost at Cal when he missed much of the game.
Ashley started all 22 games he played this season and averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds.
