Creating visual conversations around gun violence

Two University of Arizona students aspired to bring the community closer by talking about gun violence through an interactive art exhibit held on campus. “A Memorial for Past and Potential Gun Victims” was held in the Lionel Rombach Gallery, accross from the Center for Creative Photography, and ran from from Sept. 5 until Sept. 13. The exhibit aimed to bring awareness to the consequences of gun violence in America through art, according to the creators.  Read more

Bennett battles toward final season

 JaLea Bennett is the lone senior remaining from the dark ages of Arizona women’s basketball. Bennett is the last of the 2014-15 recruiting class, and only one of two players remaining from one of the least-successful coaching tenures in school history, under former head coach Niya Butts. soccer wrap up

Arizona soccer wrapped up their season on Friday, Nov. 17 suffering a 2-0 loss to Florida State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats ended their rollercoaster season with a record of 11-5-4, and several individual accomplishments.  Read more

The Arizona volleyball team was unable to bounce back after a loss to Colorado as they fell to the No. 17 Utah Utes, 3-1 (25-15, 25-15, 25-15). Read more

Analysis: Arizona's midfield falls through in NCAA Tournament

Arizona’s record breaking season comes to a close after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Florida State. The 'Cats junior goalkeeper Lainey Burdett's made five saves, two of which were extraordinary. Florida State’s goals came courtesy of Deyna Castellanos, one of the best players in college soccer and FIFA player of the year nominee.  Read more

Buffaloes stampede over Wildcats, 3-0

 After upsetting the then No. 16 Oregon Ducks last weekend, the Arizona Volleyball team came out flat and were swept by the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder, 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-19).  Read more

Stahlhuth hat trick headlines weekend sweep of Utah

It was a successful weekend in Utah for the Wildcat hockey team as they beat the Utah Utes on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11 by scores of 5-2 and 5-3 respectively. The Wildcats were able to sweep Utah, but no one stood out more than Ethan Stahlhuth with a hat trick on Saturday night.   Read more

 Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Whether the Lorenzo Romar effect is ahead of schedule or Sean Miller had a change of heart in coaching philosophy, one thing is certain: Arizona is playing a style of basketball equivalent to the air raid offenses of college football that is a far cry from the typical Sean Miller teams of recent memory.  Read more
