Louis Boyd returns from injury to solidify 'Cats lineup

An unsung hero of the Arizona baseball team’s improbable run to the College World Series last year was junior college transfer Louis Boyd who played lockdown defense at shortstop while providing a spark at the bottom of the order. Boyd, a native of North Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, became accustomed to making dazzling plays at short and played a valuable role in a sound defense that featured Cody Ramer at second base, Bobby Dalbec at third and Ryan Aguilar at first. Wildcats take series in Pullman

The Arizona baseball team picked up its second straight Pac-12 series victory this weekend after taking two out of three against Washington State in Pullman, Washington. The series victory moved the No. 8 Wildcats to 23-8 on the season. Read more

Arizona baseball readies for next Pac-12 series against USC

After getting swept by then No. 2 Oregon State last weekend, the Arizona baseball team responded with a 3-2 win over Grand Canyon Tuesday night at Hi Corbett Field. Arizona baseball swept by Oregon State Beavers in gut wrenching series

On Sunday, No. 6 Arizona baseball lost to No. 2 Oregon State 11-7, capping off a three-game sweep on the road. In a series featuring Pac-12 powers, the Wildcats battled hard in all three games but were unable to claim even one from the Beavers. Two of Arizona’s three losses were in the final inning during the sweep, and now Arizona drops to 16-7 on the season after starting 10-0. Read more
