Arizona and UConn men’s basketball share many similarities this season. Both historic programs are rebuilding, led by senior guards and tough head coaches from the East Coast.  The similarities were even more apparent Sunday, as neither team led by more than eight points in a back-and-fourth affair that saw the ‘Cats prevail 76-72, despite not making a basket over the final 6:43 of the game, in what is their most impressive victory of the season to date. No. 3 Gonzaga's second-half rally sinks Arizona in Maui

The turning point in the game came when UA’s Chase Jeter fouled out with a foul-then-technical sequence at 12:03 in the second half. Gonzaga took the lead on free throws after and were able to score at will in the paint thereafter. The Bulldogs outscored the Wildcats 39-21 the rest of the way and were able to get 26 points in the paint in the half. Read more
