Controversial play contributes to Wildcats demise against Purdue

With 56 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Purdue set up in a kneel down formation. Quarterback Elijah Sindelar looked as though he would kneel down to run the remaining seconds off the clock. Instead, Sindelar faked the kneel and handed off to running back D.J. Knox, who ran around the left side for a 30-yard gain. The run catalyzed a Purdue drive that ended in a field goal, stretching the Boilermakers’ lead to 31-14 at the end of the half.  Read more

Key plays go against Wildcats in Foster Farms Bowl loss to Boilermakers

The Arizona Wildcats football team rallied from a 17-point halftime deficit but ultimately came up short in a 38-35 loss to the Purdue Boilermakers in the Foster Farms Bowl at Levi’s Stadium on Wednesday night.
