Solar cars run on Tucson sun

Around 325 people, including participants, spectators and students gathered for the Solar Technology Showcase at the University of Arizona Tech Park at Rita Ranch on Saturday, July 21. The event showcased some of the nations most tech-savvy high school students involved in solar powered car challenges.     Read more

Construction on-schedule for multiple athletics projects

As a part of Dave Heeke’s $66 million Capital Improvement Plan, Arizona Stadium, Hillenbrand Stadium, Hillenbrand Aquatic Center and McKale Center all have begun to undergo major upgrades. The new indoor sports facility next to the Ginny L. Clements Academic Center is the final touch on the project, with the goal being to enhance the experience of both the fan, and the student athlete.  Read more

Police Beat, Summer Edition: You're suspended!

University of Arizona Police Department Officer traveling northbound on Park Avenue noticed a Chevy sedan being pursued by a silver Saab, at approximately 1:15 a.m. on July 7. Both vehicles proceeded south on Park and turned west on Second Street at high speeds.  Read more
