Arizona soccer end year with 7-2 loss to Texas A&M Aggies

In what had been mostly a dream season, Arizona soccer’s 2014 run came to a crashing end Friday night as the Wildcats were blown out by the No. 1 seed Texas A&M Aggies in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. In a rematch of an early September tilt that ended in a 2-2 tie, the Wildcats (11-8-2) could do nothing to slow down the Aggies and fell by a final score of 7-2 on the road in College Station, Texas. Soccer defeats Oklahoma State 1-0, advances to NCAA second round

For the first time since 2005, Arizona soccer (11-7-2) was playing in the postseason on Friday afternoon, but rather than be complacent about their accomplishment, the Wildcats defeated the Oklahoma State Cowgirls while simultaneously moving on to the Second Round of the NCAA tournament. In near freezing temperatures, Arizona scored late and walked away with a 1-0 victory in the unfriendly confines of Stillwater, Okla. Read more
