•  Arizona Stadium drew a crowd of 51,683 fans to Saturday night's football game against Central Michigan University. That bests the average of 51,279 fans per contest the team has attracted in the Mike Stoops era.



•  After week one, the Arizona football team is second among Division I teams in time of possession, hanging onto the ball for 37:45 of last Saturday's win. Boise State University led that category with an astounding 42:32 TOP in their 19-8 win over the Oregon Ducks.



•  Former Arizona Wildcat defensive lineman Tedy Bruschi has announced that he will join ESPN as a football analyst, according to the sports network.

""I'm very excited to be joining the ESPN team,"" Bruschi said in a statement. ""I hope to bring my passion and knowledge for the game as an analyst just as I did as a player.""



•  The Arizona volleyball squad (6-0) has drawn a No. 25 ranking in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 weekly poll.

But as far as the national rankings go, six Pacific 10 Conference teams still rate higher than the Wildcats, led by the No. 3 Washington Huskies.
