Cynicism accomplishes everything
You know, it's too bad. I went into reading ""Why not hope for the best?"" (Oct. 7, 2009) hoping it would be an uplifting article about selflessness and hope. Maybe once I would have opened up a student newspaper and read an article with feeling.
It only took me to the second paragraph to realize that the article was less about genuine optimism and more about politics and blasting people who don't believe that CNN is a real (whatever that means) news source.
Nope. It was just another cynical take on cynicism. It's too bad, really. By employing a little cynicism, maybe it could have been intriguing or uplifting. Oh well. I guess that's what happens when you have hope.
