    Tucson has plenty of opportunities to bar hop, and throw one back at the end of a long week. However, on a college student budget it is often not realistic, and many bars do not offer happy hours on the weekend. Here are the best places to stop by this weekend for cheap and tasty happy hour specials to quench your thirst and ease your mind.

    1. Trident Grill: Located on Speedway and Campbell, it’s a quick walk from campus and the best place to start your weekend early with their many delectable and affordable happy hour specials. Every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., Trident Grill, go enjoy a $3 pint of your choice of 24 draft beers on the menu. If beer isn’t your thing, Trident also offers $3 well drinks, so drink up.

    2. Guadalajara Original Grill: If you’re ready for a fiesta, make your way to one of Tucson’s greatest gems, Guadalajara Grill between 10 p.m. midnight on Friday and Saturday. The house margarita is only $3 and $2.50 draft beers. Make sure to try the frozen house margarita (or a few). They make them strong, and they’re cheap. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

    3. Blanco Tacos and Tequila: If the name itself hasn’t already convinced you, then nothing will. Blancos is located in La Encantada and is the perfect classy getaway for a date or a girls’ night out. Friday to Saturday between 4 and 6 p.m. is happy hour, featuring margaritas under $5.

    4. Union Public House: Another classy place to get a nice buzz going on the weekend is Union Public House, which hosts its happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. and reverse happy hour 10 p.m. every day. Treat yourself to $4 craft draft beers, and $5 Svedka and Bombay martinis. Bonus: $5 mac and cheese.

    5. Pasco Kitchen and Lounge: A quick walk to University Boulevard and you are on your way to a wonderful start to your weekend at Pasco Kitchen and Lounge. Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m. every Friday and the perfect pregame for a night of shenanigans on University. Wine is only $5 a glass, and select cocktail specials $4. This trendy hotspot is the perfect social outing to get your drink on and have a great time doing it.
