Spring break is over and Wildcats are in the last seven weeks of school. Here are the top nine concerts to look forward to that might just make the rest of the semester more livable.

1. Kawehi — Club Congress on March 29

Kawehi’s music is a mix between what you like and what your mom wants you to like, and it turns out pretty okay — mellow, ambient, electronic pop with a huge range of vocal capabilities, including beat boxing. Tickets are $15 and the concert is 21-plus, with the show starting at 8 p.m.

2. Sam Baker — Monterey Court Studio Galleries on April 1

A true American singer-songwriter, Sam Baker’s music hits on Americana themes listeners have been accustomed to for decades: life, gratitude and the future. With a new generation of country blasting through The Wreck every night, Sam Baker stays true to country’s folk beginnings. This is sure to be a chill and relaxing hour or two. Tickets are $10-15 and the show is open to all ages. It starts at 7 p.m.

3. The Struts — The Rock on April 2

It’s real, classic rock in 2016 and the closest thing Tucsonans are going to get to our fathers’ Queen and The Rolling Stones. Complete with fringe, glitter and long hair, The Struts sold out all their concerts prior to Tucson. If you’re looking to blow off some steam, tickets are $16-18 and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

4. The Cave Singers — Club Congress on April 3

The Cave Singers are the most Seattle band to come out in recent memory. Breathy, hipster and warm, The Cave Singers complete each of their tracks with seduction. Tickets are $12 for the 21-plus concert — booze would probably be a good idea. The show starts at 8 p.m.

5. Escape the Fate — The Rock on April 19

If Escape the Fate wasn’t your go-to “angry band” in middle school, you’re lying yo yourself. The concert is $18-20 and doors open at 7:30 p.m.

6. G-Eazy, Nef the Pharaoh, Marty Grimes and Daghe — Tucson Convention Center on April 23

G-Eazy is the perfect rap for people who don’t actually love rap — calm, less aggressive and, frankly, he’s one of the only rappers who still uses hair gel. Last time G-Eazy came to Tucson, people raved for weeks. Don’t miss out this time around. Tickets are $28-45 and doors open at 7 p.m.

7. Barry Manilow — Tucson Convention Center on May 2

The best concert to go to on a Monday night (or if your mom is in town), Barry Manilow is a hero among singer-songwriters. He was huge in the 1970s, but he’s still kickin’. This concert would create a great date night. Tickets are $17.75-167.75 and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

8. The Band Perry — Desert Diamond Casino on May 3

“If I die young (because of these finals), bury me in satin (or take me to a concert).” Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but prepare yourself for the minute they do. Doors open at 7 p.m.

9. SoMo — Rialto Theatre on May 14

School’s out. Summer school hasn’t started. Take your boo to SoMo because you deserve some raunchy R&B music. Tickets are $22.50-400, and the event is all-ages with doors opening at 7 p.m.
