SHAC has been partnered with UA Campus Health since 1971, and has now branched out to lead the tobacco free campaign existing on campus presently.

SHAC works with the UA Cancer Center and Banner University Medical Center in order to achieve their goal in supporting health and wellness, safety and a multitude of help and out reach programs.

SHAC announced they will be hosting a blood drive at the library at the end of the month.

The meeting proceeded with the introduction of the UA Campus Pantry from a few of its members.

The UA Campus Pantry was established on Feb. 1, 2013 as a non-profit organization that specifically provides for students and staff to make sure individuals attending the UA do not go hungry.

The Campus Pantry, which is financially supported by donations and grants will start offering an internship program next semester in order to help current staff members run the program more efficiently.

Sen. Danielle Ledezma moved forward to discuss the ASUA appropriations consent agenda which was immediately approved.

Ledezma pointed out that it’s important for ASUA to keep an open mind when it comes to the discussion of election results in order to establish unbiased views and support to all members of the UA community.
