The first official week of the fall 2021 semester has come to a close. Now that Sylly Week is over, classes are going to start up in full force, meaning more work and more deadlines to worry about.
The Daily Wildcat compiles weekly a list of important dates to make note of to help students keep track of events and academic deadlines amidst their busy schedules. Check out some of the dates to remember for this week, Aug. 30 through Sept. 5, below.
Aug. 30: Last day students can use UAccess to add or switch classes
Following Aug. 30, students will need instructor approval to change their schedule.
Aug. 30, 9 a.m.: Campus Reentry Updates
President Dr. Robert C. Robbins hosted the weekly campus reentry update with Dr. Richard Carmona to discuss COVID-19 as it relates to campus life. The briefing was livestreamed on the University of Arizona YouTube channel. Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: In-person club fair
The in-person club fair will be held on the UA Mall. Many UA clubs will set up booths at the fair to provide information to interested students. Due to COVID-19, some clubs will only be participating in an online format the following day, Sept. 1.
Sept. 1, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Virtual club fair
The online club fair can be accessed via Zoom at https://arizona.zoom.us/j/84672305169. To minimize COVID-19 risks, many clubs will be participating in the fair in a virtual capacity only.
Sept. 4, 7:30 p.m.: First football game of the season
The Arizona Wildcats football team will kick off the season Saturday with its first game versus Brigham Young in Las Vegas at the Allegiant Stadium. The first home game comes the following Saturday at 7 p.m. versus San Diego State. To purchase tickets, visit Arizona Athletics' website.
Sept. 5: Last day to withdraw without a "W" on record
Last day students can drop a class without receiving a W (or withdrawal) for the class on their transcript.
