The Arizona men's basketball team defeated the Eastern New Mexico University by a score of 96-50 in their first exhibition game of the season. This was the first game of the Tommy Llyod era, as he took over for Sean Miller after 20 years at Gonzaga being an assistant coach.

Bennedict Mathurin has picked up where he left off from a season ago, totaling 18 points on 5-10 shooting from the field, along with two three-pointers and six rebounds.

Junior Christian Koloko looked much more aggressive tonight, where he scored 14 points, along with 10 rebounds and two blocks. He also showed off his improved jump shot and made a three-pointer in the second half.

Transfer guard Justin Kier impressed in his first showing as a Wildcat, scoring 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. He also was on fire from deep, going 4-6 on three-point jump shots.

Kerr Kriisa, a sophomore guard, struggled shooting the ball tonight, as he finished the contest 1-8 from deep and couldn't get his shot to fall all night long.

The Arizona Wildcats kick off their 2021-22 regular season on Nov. 9 in McKale Center against the NAU Lumberjacks.
