Wednesday night, Arizona five-star point guard recruit Kylan Boswell has said he is going to reclassify to be eligible for the upcoming 2022-23 college basketball season.
Boswell originally committed to Arizona on February 28, 2022 and said at the time he was open to a reclassification. He was ranked as the 15th best prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and second best player in the state of Arizona according to 247sports.
As a junior in high school at AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona Boswell averaged 13.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2 assists per contest.
He is a shifty point guard that excels scoring at all three levels on the court while being a high-level playmaker. Boswell is the sixth new Wildcat that will join Head Coach Tommy Lloyd's program come the fall. He also joins a very talented back-court alongside returning players Kerr Kriisa, Pelle Larrson, and Adama Bal with newcomers Courtney Ramey (Texas) and Cedric Henderson Jr. ( Cambell).
Unlike most talented five-star freshmen recruits that go one-and-done to the NBA Draft, that will not be the case for Boswell as he isn't eligible for the NBA Draft until 2024.
