UA hosts a variety of convocation events for students graduating in winter 2022

A sea of caps top the heads of the graduates during the 2020 Commencement Ceremony on the Mall on Nov. 5. The ceremony was held during this year's Homecoming, a year and a half after students received their diplomas in May 2020 as the original ceremony was cancelled on account of the pandemic.   

The University of Arizona will host numerous convocation events to celebrate students graduating in the winter of 2022. 

Convocations are smaller events that focus on specific colleges or interest groups. Here is a list of all the convocation events being held by the UA this winter.

  • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences: held on 12/16/2022 at 9 a.m. in Centennial Hall
  • College of Education: held on 12/15/2022 at 2 p.m. in the Student Union
  • Eller College of Management-Graduate: held on 12/17/2022 at 9 a.m. in Centennial Hall
  • Eller College of Management-undergraduate: held on 12/16/2022 at 7 p.m. in Centennial Hall
  • College of Engineering: held on 12/15/2022 at 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall
  • College of Fine Arts: held on 12/15/2022 at 7 p.m. in Crowder Hall
  • W.A. Franke Honors College: held on 12/15/2022 at 2 p.m. in Crowder Hall
  • College of Humanities: held on 12/16/2022 at 9 a.m. in the Student Union
  • College of Nursing: held on 12/15/2022 at 9 a.m. in Centennial Hall
  • Wyant College of Optical Sciences: held on 12/16/2022 at 3 p.m. in the Meinel building, Room 410
  • Physiology Undergraduate Program: held on 12/17/2022 at 11 a.m. in the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre
  • College of Public Health: held on 12/17/2022 at 7 p.m. in Centennial Hall
  • College of Science: held on 12/16/2022 at 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall
  • College of Social and Behavioral Sciences: held on 12/17/2022 at 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall

In addition to these convocation ceremonies, the UA also hosts three separate celebrations, which are events designed to “honor students in special interest groups and their achievements,” according to the commencement website. These celebrations are:
