On Tuesday the Pac-12 Conference announced that Arizona softball junior first baseman Hallie Wilson was selected as the conference’s Player of the Week.
This is the second Pac-12 Player of the Week in a row for the Wildcats after Kelsey Rodriguez won it last week.
It is Wilson’s first Player of the Week Award and the UA’s 139th all-time, the most in the Pac-12.
Wilson batted .650 with seven extra-base hits, including three triples as Arizona went 5-2 last week.
One of those triples came in her 3-for-3 performance against Ball State where she almost hit for the cycle, not tallying a home run.
The junior from Santa Ana, Calif., had a slugging percentage of 1.150, 10 RBIs, drew seven walks and had a .750 on-base percentage last week.
This season, Wilson is third on the team with a .456 batting average, three home runs and 24 RBIs.
