March 24, 2022 at 10:36 pm

On March 23, the University Religious Council hosted a day of "memory, healing and hope" to memorialize the lives of Arizonans lost to COVID-19. The event was held on the University of Arizona Mall and featured speeches by President Robbins and others. 2,800 flags were placed on the lawn, some with handwritten messages, with each flag representing 10 Arizonan lives lost to the virus.
