The College of Optical Sciences hosts its fifth annual installment of Laser Fun Day at the Meinel Building on Saturday, Feb. 28. Laser Fun Day is an opportunity for people of all ages to get to learn about optical sciences in a hands-on way. This year, in conjunction with the United Nation's celebration of the International Year of Light, the day focuses on the ways light influences every day life.
Campus DJ Battle at the Rialto
Four students face-off at the Rialto Theater to decide who is the best DJ amongst them on Feb. 26. UA student contestants include Anthony Natoli, James Christian, Izzoh, and Lephan. The contestants were judged by a panel, including Russian music sensation ARTY, on originality, technicality and creativity after playing ten minute sets each. In the end, the title of Campus DJ went to Lephan.
National Adjunct Walkout Day
Adjunct and non-tenure track faculty members and concerned students gather on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the Alumni Plaza in front of the Administration building to gain support in the demand for higher wages and smaller class sizes on National Adjunct Walkout Day.

The Year of the Sheep: 6th Annual Chinese New Year Festival
For the sixth year in a row, the Confucius Institute held the annual Chinese New Year festival at Centennial Hall on January 31. The festival included performances from Sunrise Drive Elementary School, the Chandler Symphony Orchestra, the Tucson Girls Choir, the CIUA Martial Arts Masters, the AGA Dance Collective, Tucson Sino Dancers, and more.

Puppy Bowl XI
To commemorate the beginning of Super Bowl weekend, the cutest competitors stole the show at the opening day of the Arizona Humane Society's Puppy Bowl XI in Phoenix. The puppies, which will all be available for adoption after their performance in the Puppy Bowl on Sunday, prepared for the game on their practice field at the Puppy Bowl Cafe. The 25 pups got good face time with the coaches and potential future owners, but most of their focus was on being extremely adorable.
