Coming off a disappointing loss to UCLA on Thursday, the No. 6 Arizona Wildcats bounced back in a big way against a mediocre USC squad, defeating the Trojans 74-50.

Arizona vs Southern Mississippi - Dec. 5, 2012
The No. 8 Arizona Wildcats did not play well Tuesday night against Southern Miss, starting sluggishly, which led to a eight-point halftime deficit and 27 turnovers. Sophomore guard Nick Johnson led the team in scoring with 23 points, but also committed six turnovers. The Wildcats played much better defense in the second half, only allowing the Golden Eagles to make nine field goals of 25 attempted shots.
Inauguration of President Ann Weaver Hart
President Ann Weaver Hart’s daylong inauguration culminated Friday afternoon with a ceremony in Centennial Hall after a procession of UA faculty made their way from Old Main to the hall’s stage. The event featured speeches from government officials, student leaders and several of Hart’s cabinet members. A reception followed the ceremony with a meet-and-greet with Hart and performances on the lawn in front of the Arizona State Museum.
UA vs NAU - Nov. 28, 2012
Arizona welcomed UA alum, and NAU head coach, Jack Murphy to McKale Center for his first time as the Lumberjacks head honcho. It wasn’t exactly a successful homecoming for him, though, as Arizona won 93-50.
Arizona vs Long Beach State - Nov. 19, 2012
Arizona defeated Long Beach State 94-72 at McKale Center as senior forward Solomon Hill scored his 1,000th career points.
UA vs UTEP - Nov. 15, 2012
In Arizona’s second game of the season, the Wildcats held off UTEP in a 72-51 victory in McKale Center. Arizona had eight players score at least six points, led by Mark Lyons with 17 points.
Arizona vs Colorado - Nov. 10, 2012
In Arizona’s homecoming game, the Wildcats beat Colorado by a final score of 56-31. With Ka’Deem Carey leading the way with 366 total yards and five touchdowns, and backup quarterback B.J. Denker scoring two touchdowns of his own, the Wildcats secured their position for a bowl game.
Arizona Basketball vs Chico State
Arizona closed out its preseason with its second straight dominant victory, defeating Chico State by a score of 98-60. The Wildcats first regular season game is on Sunday against Charleston Southern at 4 p.m. in McKale Center.
UA vs UCLA - Nov. 3, 2012
Coming off an upset against USC, Arizona was riding high off the possibility of claiming the Pac-12 South. That was until the Wildcats traveled to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., and UCLA knocked them back to reality in a 66-10 blowout.
Arizona Basketball vs Humboldt State
With a 108-67 win over Humboldt State on Oct. 31, the Arizona men’s basketball team framed a smooth path for the upcoming season.

UA football beat No. 9 USC 39-39 on Oct. 27, 2012, at Arizona Stadium. Rallying back from 28-13, Matt Scott threw for 469 yards and scored a total of four touchdowns, making the UA record 5-3.
Arizona Basketball Red-Blue Game
Arizona basketball hosted their annual red-blue game at McKale Memorial Center on Oct. 21, 2012. Those in attendance included Lute Olson and the 1987 UA basketball team.
UA vs Wash - Oct. 20, 2012
Arizona defeated Washington 52-17 on Oct. 20, 2012, at Arizona Stadium. Passing for 256 yards and a career high four touchdowns, Matt Scott has lead UA to a 4-3 overall record (1-3 Pac-12).
