Adderall is a drug that changes the concentration of neurotransmitters, which are chemicals found in brain cells that are used for communication, in specific regions of the brain. Approximately 13 percent of UA students used attention deficit hyperactivity disorder medications without a prescription in the year prior to a study released last year by Campus Health Service.
