It was senior day for Arizona softball, and with the series on the line against the Arizona State Sun Devils, senior leader Mo Mercado sparked the Wildcats to an 8-0 victory in five innings by getting things going with her 10th home run of the season in the bottom of the third.

It was a historic afternoon at Hillenbrand Stadium on Sunday. Arizona head coach Mike Candrea won his 1,500th game in front of a packed house packaged with a 5-2 Arizona victory. The Wildcats swept the No. 6 Huskies this weekend and presented Candrea, as well the program, the milestone in grand fashion.
