After taking down the defending national champions on Tuesday, Arizona softball rolled into their first Pac-12 Conference series against the Oregon State Beavers. The Wildcats swept the Beavers and improved to 29-1 (3-0 Pac-12).

SALT LAKE CITY — The Arizona Wildcats are heading to their fourth Sweet Sixteen in five years after taking down the Saint Mary’s Gaels 69-60 on Saturday night. The Wildcats trailed at halftime and had to fight their way back in to the game, but were able to prevail in the end against a tough Saint Mary’s team.

SALT LAKE CITY — The second-seeded Arizona Wildcats are set to take on No. 7 Saint Mary's Saturday and the Gaels come into the matchup after beating VCU. SMC has experience playing against the Wildcats in scrimmage situations from 2013-2015 so both are familiar, except Arizona has a trio of freshmen the Gales haven't seen.

LAS VEGAS–With 17 seconds to go in the Pac-12 Conference championship game, Allonzo Trier was headed to the line with the Wildcats up by just two points. In the biggest moment of his career, Trier calmly went up to the stripe and sank a pair of championship-clinching free throws. The Wildcats were up by two possessions at that point, and would hold on to defeat the Oregon Ducks 83-80 placing them alone at the top of the Pac-12 Conference.

LAS VEGAS—After a tightly contested first half, it looked like the Arizona Wildcats and UCLA Bruins were locked in another thriller. Instead, the Wildcats turned up the heat in front of a Pac-12 record 19,224 fans and pulled away from UCLA placing themselves in Saturday night’s Pac-12 Tournament final. The Wildcats won the tiebreaker with the Bruins 86-75.

LAS VEGAS—The Colorado Buffaloes entered their quarterfinal matchup with the Arizona Wildcats in Thursday night with their NCAA Tournament dreams on the line, and they came out playing like it. The Wildcats struggled to pull away from the Buffaloes in the first half, but took care of business in the second half and came away with a 92-78 victory. Lauri Markkanen led the way with 20 points and three rebounds.

Tempe--All season long, Arizona freshman Lauri Markkanen has made the big plays on offense for the Wildcats. On Saturday afternoon against ASU, Markkanen made the big plays he’s used to making, except this time they came on the defensive end and led No. 7 Arizona to a share of the Pac-12 regular season crown in Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe.

The Arizona Wildcats gave up 20 second-chance points off of 14 offensive rebounds to No. 4 UCLA and cost themselves the outright Pac-12 Conference regular season championship, losing to the Bruins 77-72 in McKale Center Saturday. Kadeem Allen had a chance to tie the game at 75, but his last-second attempt missed the rim wide right, bringing his final game in McKale Center to an end on senior night.

The Arizona offense came alive in the second half, and the Wildcats overpowered the Trojans to set up their huge Saturday showdown with the No. 5 UCLA Bruins. The No. 4 Wildcats (26-3, 15-1 Pac-12) defeated the Trojans 90-77, and Allonzo Trier led the way with 25 points.
