Arizona baseball 2018 season preview

If the Arizona Wildcats baseball team is going to want to make a run at the College World Series, they’re going to have to win some tough games. This season the Wildcats will play 29 games at home and 27 on the road. Fresh faces on the diamond for Arizona baseball

The 2018 freshman and transfers will bring a plethora of talent to the field for the Arizona baseball team this coming season. The group brings strong arms to the hill, along with speed in the infield. UA baseball's Terry Francona Hitting Center opens with alumni game

The brand-new Terry Francona Hitting Center is officially open. Francona himself made the trip down to Tucson and cut the ribbon, opening the facility at UA baseball's Hi Corbett Field. The whole day was a celebration as alumni came to play in a scrimmage that was open to the public. The scrimmage was followed by a barbecue for the players, donors and season ticket holders. The day ended with speeches from head coach Jay Johnson, AD Dave Heeke, UA President Dr. Robert Robbins and Francona.  Read more

Deason, Rivas named top 2018 MLB draft prospects

 After a year in which they both received Pac-12 honors, pitcher Cody Deason and outfielder Alfonso Rivas III were both named to’s college baseball top 100 prospects. Both players played in the Cape Cod league over summer and be key players to watch for Arizona baseball in 2018.   Read more
