Campus reentry update: Administration will 'allow' students to finish out semester at home after Thanksgiving break

The University of Arizona announced students would be able to complete the fall semester from home after Thanksgiving break. The update comes from the UA's coronavirus page, which states, "After much discussion, deliberation, and review of peer University plans, we have made the decision to allow our students to continue their semester at home following the Thanksgiving break." Ambassadors add spanish language tours of UA campus

University of Arizona sophomore and student ambassador Jorge Mata Ochoa gives campus tours to prospective students and their families who are interested in learning about UA — though he didn’t have the chance to take the tour himself when he entered the school, as his Sonoran parents cannot speak English well.   Read more

UA Research travels to Capitol Hill

 Lindsey Chew, a University of Arizona neuroscience and cognitive science senior, will represent the state of Arizona at the 22nd annual Posters on the Hill in Washington DC. The event, hosted by the Council on Undergraduate Research, aims to connect politicians with undergraduate scientific researchers and their work.   Read more

Festival of Books brings family to UA dinning

The Tucson Festival of Books attracts many to the University of Arizona campus, where it takes place, who otherwise wouldn’t be visiting. A love of the written word has brought visitors to campus in mass since its inception in 2009.  With the festival, the clientele of UA area restaurants switch to family.    Read more
