Anthony Cusanelli and Bayley Marshall: The driving forces of the UA Hockey offense

Hockey is a sport that requires the effort of every player on the ice to win. A winning mentality is a “we” based mentality. The University of Arizona Wildcat hockey team won Western Collegiate Hockey League Conference Championships in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons because of that mentality, but the team’s offense has been continually driven by two highly skilled forwards, Anthony Cusanelli and Bayley Marshall. Hockey Dominates in Tucson

Hockey takes lumps, collects first victory

The No. 22 Arizona hockey team earned its first win this season, beating No. 21 Michigan-Dearborn 6-1 Friday in the opening game at the ACHA Division I Showcase in Springfield, Ill. Yet, the winning streak didn’t last long, as the Wildcats dropped their next two games, losing 5-1 to No. 11 Oakland University Saturday and 5-3 to No. 17 Stony Brook Sunday. Read more

Hockey opens year against ASU

The No. 22 Arizona hockey team takes on No. 9 ASU this weekend at the Oceanside Ice Arena. The two-game series, which starts with a game tonight at 8 p.m. and concludes with a game on Saturday at 6 p.m., will be the first contest for the newly rebranded Wildcats. Read more

Culture change brings new era of ice hockey

The Arizona Wildcats have a university-affiliated club hockey team for the first time after players decided to cut ties with the Icecats and former coach and general manager Leo Golembiewski.
