Women's tennis gets 'tough' win, men's tennis struggles

The Arizona women’s tennis team has been on a tear for the past few weekends. The No. 38 Wildcats played a tough, physical match against No. 65 Brigham Young where they battled to come out on top 4-3. The sophomore forward led the Arizona women’s basketball team in its first win in seven games over Oregon in overtime with a career-high 30 points. The most incredible fact of the game is that Jones came off the bench and played just 25 minutes. If Jones can continue to provide high scoring for the Wildcats off the bench, maybe this team can start to win more against Pac-12 Conference opponents. Read more

Marker brings confidence to ‘Cats

The Arizona women’s tennis team has been taken by storm by sophomore Lauren Marker, who is currently ranked 15th in the region. Marker grew up in Rancho Mirage, Calif., and, despite moving three times, still stayed in the same country club. She said she originally got into tennis when she was 4 years old and grew up in a tennis family, as her father and younger brother played the game as well. Read more
