Arizona volleyball’s hot streak ends against No. 10 Washington

Arizona volleyball lost to No. 10 Washington by a final score of 3-1 on Friday night at the McKale Center.  The first set was competitive throughout. Neither team was able to gain a lead larger than two points. Washington looked as though they were going to take control of the set when back-to-back kills gave them a 21-18 lead, but Arizona did have an answer, as the Wildcats put together a 6-3 run to tie the set back up at 24 each. Arizona volleyball to host Cal and Stanford

When it seemed that Arizona volleyball finally had some momentum after a demanding victory over Oregon, they dropped two close matches this past weekend against Colorado and Utah. With the Wildcats at 12-12 on their disappointing season, largely due to injuries, their road ahead gets even tougher as they face No. 20 California and No. 5 Stanford this weekend. Read more

Arizona volleyball takes on Colorado and Utah after rough couple of weeks

Coming off only its second win in October, Arizona volleyball finally has some momentum heading into the weekend. Another reason for the Wildcats to be optimistic going into the second half of Pac-12 play is that they play Colorado on Friday in Boulder, a team they swept the last time they faced off. Sunday should come as a challenge though, as Arizona plays No. 17 Utah, a team looking forward to continuing their strong season. Read more

Arizona volleyball drops fifth consecutive after Beavers make late-game run

Arizona volleyball fell to the Oregon State Beavers by a final score of 3-2 on Friday night at the McKale Center.  Arizona dominated in the first set taking a 25-13 win. The Wildcats were able to get out to an early advantage after a Devyn Cross block gave them a 6-1 lead. The Wildcats continued to dominate the rest of the set and never letting Oregon State get too close, eventually closing out the set with a win. Read more
