Borderlands Brewing Company: Brew-HaHa Comedy Showcase

Enjoy a night of laughs from comedian Chris Thayer, who has appeared on Viceland and Comedy Central. Presented by Borderlands Brewing Company’s Brew-HaHa Comedy Showcase, this event is Monday, June 19 at 119 E. Toole Ave. Admission is free, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the headlining act beginning at 8 p.m.

4th Friday Films at the Museum of Contemporary Art

If Frida Fridays don’t fill your craving for Kahlo, you can get another dose of the famed Mexican artist with a screening of the 2002 film “Frida” 8 p.m. Friday, June 23 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Explore the challenging and inspiring life story of the painter in the film starring Salma Hayek. MOCA and The Loft Cinema are proud to present free screenings featuring famous art and the creators who brought it to life every fourth Friday of the month. Bella’s Gelato will make an appearance at the event in their dessert truck.

Tucson Kidfest

Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, there are a flurry of fun events for you this week. At Tucson Kidfest, the largest family event in southern Arizona, My 92.9 and Tucson Electric Power present a jam-packed weekend of exciting carnival rides, BMX attractions, bounce houses, laser tag and Disney star appearances. You can begin your festival experience as soon Saturday, June 24 at the Tucson Convention Center. Regular tickets are $12, while tickets for military and first responders are $10.

Astronomy Night

Enjoy a stellar partnership between the Sonoran Desert Museum and the National Optical Astronomy Observatory at Astronomy Night. From 5-10 p.m. Saturday, June 24, this event will feature activities for learning about our place the universe. Additionally, postdoctoral research associate Dr. Kevin Hainline will give a presentation about the formation of the solar system. Regular tickets are $20.50, but tickets for Arizona and Sonora residents with valid I.D. are just $15.50.

Night Wings

Explore the aircraft at the Pima Air & Space Museum during extended hours Saturday, June 24, from 5-9 p.m., along with educational, hands-on activities inside airplane hangars. Enjoy a meal from the Flight Grill while watching the sun set over the Tucson skyline. Tickets are only $10.
